The Gardener and His plant

inspired by Luke 8:4-15

There, in His field, lay a mass of brush and weeds.
The strong, rough and weathered hands attempt to pull and rip out all of the tangled weeds, so that the young rotting plant beneath may have a chance to thrive still.
As He tries to yank out a few, they remain strongly rooted in the ground because the plant's roots will not simply let the weeds go.
The Gardener whispers gently to the plant, like a grandfather shares the secrets of life with his grandson, that if it really wants healing and growth, it has to release its grip from the nasty chokehold.
And so it gradually loosens itself from the thicket.
The weeds are all gone now, revealing a dry cracked ground surrounding the plant.
The Gardener turns the soil so it returns to a dark, rich color of health.
Then He sprinkles water on the ground and finally on the plant.
A rush of coolness, refreshing and nurturing, washes over the plant.
Now the plant is ready to begin its journey of growth into maturity.
